If there’s one trend that stands out this summer (besides bell sleeves) it’s poms balls! I’ve seen pom balls on things I never would have guessed they’d be on. Purses, shirts, dresses, sandals.. the list goes on. I think they’re adorable and give off such a fun, summery vibe.
If you’ve read my post featuring my cactus embroidered shirt, then you’ve read my quick little run down about a company called SheIn. I purchased a few items from them recently and overall, I’m pretty pleased with everything. You really can’t beat the prices and as long as you read the reviews and follow the advice others leave, you should end up happy with your items! If you read along here, you already know I look for loose regular clothing over maternity clothes most of the time. I saw this dress on SheIn and thought it would fit over the bump well and it turns out, it does! I think I will probably use it as a beach cover-up for our upcoming beach trip more than an actual dress to wear out and about. It’s really good quality for the price and the pom balls are the perfect, fun summer colors.
I threw on my most colorful shoes to go with this dress, because I’m extra like that. I got these sandals from Target and I’ll link them below!
I also grabbed my pink Rebecca Minkoff bag to continue the colorful theme. Funny little story on this bag..
Within two or three months of dating my, now husband, he had an outage at work. Basically he had to work all day almost every day for a stretch of time. These outages happen once or twice a year usually and last about a month each time. Anyway, when the outage was over, he brought me a gift to the hospital where I was working at the time with a note that said something like, “Thank you for being so patient while I worked the outage, I love you so much..”. I opened a paper shopping bag he handed me and inside was this beautiful pink Rebecca Minkoff bag. HELLOOO? I had only known this guy a few months and let’s be real, the outage was more of a burden for him than it was for me. He had me hooked, and it wasn’t just the gifts or fancy dinners. It was how selfless this man was. He’s the person who always donates money when the cashier asks if he’d like to donate to a charity. He works all day and comes home and still finds more to give to his girls. He helps anyone he can in any way. Just recently he was helping an elderly woman with boxes at the landfill and he sliced his arm completely open on glass she had put in the boxes. He drove himself to the hospital and ended up needing stitches. Somehow, he has already helped another person at the landfill, despite me telling him maybe he should just throw our trash and go.
Oops, I got a little side tracked (not surprised) but I sure do love that man for everything he is. And I love this bag for it’s story and because it’s pink!
Also another shout out to my husband for scoping out this wall while he was on Krispy Kreme run for me the other day. I guess I’ll keep him.
Let me know if you end up ordering from SheIn! I’d love to see what you get and what you think!
