I never thought I’d get to the end of this pregnancy, but here we are in week 36. I guess it’s time to really start preparing for the big day. My last two labors were just a few hours from first contraction to baby being born, so I need to have everything set to go. I probably still overpacked a little, even though this is my third go at this rodeo, but I’m an over packer. It’s just who I am!
Ever wondered what to do with all those broken crayons? Especially the little tiny pieces in the bottom of the crayon bin that not even your little toddler’s fingers can grip. Well, I’ve got a solution! And it’s not to throw them away, as tempting as that may be. I’ve got a fun little craft that even the kids can help participate in and it recycles every little broken crayon.
Gingham print and summer go together like peanut butter and jelly. I even have red gingham pillows out on my couch. (Ok, confession.. they’ve been there all year). But I just love the print! It makes me think of picnics, sunshine, lemonade.. all the summer feels.
This is one of my favorite projects my husband and I have worked on. The mudroom was a huge selling point for us when we bought our home; it is the perfect little spot to drop our bags and kick off our shoes when we get home. It also has a wall of shelves to serve as our pantry, which is great because our previous house didn’t have this type of space for food storage. Unfortunately, after a few months of use, this room looked ROUGH. The ‘before’ pictures are actually pretty embarrassing. Judge away, my friends. There is one song that comes to mind when I look back at the before pictures:
U-G-L-Y, You ain’t got no alibi, You UGLY!
